When Lexi K. ’24 was just seven years old, she joined her town’s baseball team; with three older brothers who all played competitive sports, she knew from a young age that she too wanted to compete. By the time she was nine, she joined a travel softball team and began training consistently. Today, she is a three year varsity softball player for The Hun School and has pitched three perfect games in her career thus far.
Since 2019, Stephen C. ’23 has eagerly awaited the chance to represent his home country of China in a national ice hockey tournament. On January 16th, he will take the ice to compete in the 2023 Ice Hockey U20 World Championship in Iceland. In this week-long tournament, Stephen and team China will compete against teams from Mexico, Serbia, Iceland, Taiwan, and Belgium.
As Sean Costello has taken the helm of the Hun School girls’ basketball team this winter, his players are embracing change.
“It has been great, they are doing awesome,” said Costello, the successor to Bill Holup, who guided the program for 23 seasons. “It is all new. It is new system, new process, new practices, new terminology. They have been super receptive with a lot of energy.”
The Hun School’s spring sports teams had a home run of a season; multiple teams won MAPL titles, including varsity girls softball, varsity boys baseball, and members of both our track and field team and boys tennis team.

Moments That Matter
Experience Hun
At The Hun School of Princeton, we learn with joy, share in each other’s successes, and shape– action by action—a community where caring opens us to the best in ourselves and others. We meet our students at a seminal moment in their lives, when their sense of self is still evolving and their vision and capacities are beginning to emerge. We know that at such a pivotal moment, kind encouragement is as necessary as intellectual challenge.
