Parents Association

The PA hosts a Gala and Auction each year as a fun community night out for parents, friends, faculty, staff, and trustees. All proceeds benefit the Hun Fund. Volunteer opportunities range from invitation design and logistical support to sponsorship solicitation and silent auction coordination.

The PA hosts appreciation events each year to thank faculty and staff. Events include the Cookie Stop and Faculty & Staff Appreciation Lunch. Volunteer opportunities range from cooking and baking to event planning and decorating.

Volunteers work directly with Middle School administration to assist with several activities throughout the year, including Orientation, Back to School Night, dances, decorating, and other special events. 

At the beginning of each school year, members of the New Parent Connections Committee reach out to new Hun families to help them navigate and adjust to their first few months at Hun.

Members of this committee serve as public advocates of the Hun Fund, the School’s annual fundraising priority. Volunteers assist members of the Development Office, the Development Committee, and the PA Hun Fund liaison in a variety of ways including Raider Giving Day advocacy, outreach to fellow parents asking for their support, and serving as ambassadors with other parents about the importance of the Hun Fund and their support of the School.

Volunteers partner with Hun’s Cultural Competency Committee on campus and help coordinate and promote events and programming, including International Week and more. 

Spotlight volunteers work directly with faculty, staff, and students to promote and celebrate performances, fundraise, plan events and initiatives, and foster a sense of community through the performing arts.

The head of the Common Ground Committee is the liaison to Princeton Common Ground, a volunteer-led consortium of the parent associations of sixteen independent schools. Working collaboratively, Common Ground presents several innovative speakers each year intended to inspire, invigorate, and inform. The speakers host lectures, panel discussions, and interactive experiences designed to promote open discussion of relevant topics and foster community among participants. The head of this committee helps to advertise the events to the Hun community and is the point person when it is Hun’s turn to host an event.
