Meet the Counselors

Rich Volz '97 has been a Hun Camp counselor since 2007 and has been the director since 2014. During the academic year, Rich is the chair of the English Department and head coach of the JV baseball team. Rich is an alumnus of The Hun School and Princeton University.

Jim Nehlig has been a Hun Camp counselor for more than two decades. During the academic year, Jim teaches driver’s education, health, and physical education at The Hun School. He has coached hockey, lacrosse, wrestling, and football at various levels. Jim lives on campus with his wife, Ruth, and their four children. 

Patrick Quirk '02 teaches in the Math Department and coaches boys’ soccer and girls’ golf at The Hun School. Pat is certified to teach elementary education,has a BA from Dickinson University and has a master’s from The College of New Jersey. Pat is in charge of the youngest boys and leads swim instruction. Pat is an active game developer at camp and has recently introduced us to "Hungry Hungry Hippos" on scooters. 

Julie Davis has been a counselor at Hun Camp since 2015. During the academic year, Julie is the chair of the Math Department at The Hun School, where she has taught for more than thirty years. She is also one of the teachers who developed the NextTerm Course: The Math and Psychology of Thrill Rides. 

Andrew Bezila teaches Special Education in Hamilton, New Jersey, and has been a Hun Camp counselor since 2004. He is the counselor for the oldest group of boys and runs the Junior Counselor in Training (JCIT) Program. 

Max Drucker is a student at Drew University studying Economics and Environmental Science. His first year at Hun Camp was in 2004, the summer after he finished kindergarten. He has been back every summer since, as a camper, junior counselor, and counselor!

Jamie McKee works as an administrative assistant in The Hun School's Athletic Department during the academic year. She has been a Hun Camp counselor since 2014. Jamie works with the nine- and ten-year-old girls and runs the after-care program.
