Hun Camp

Hun Camp is a full day summer camp for kids, ages 5-13. We build our days around what campers want to do; where making up silly songs and games is part of the routine; and where the counselors are excited to be part of it all.  Join us at the best summer day camp in Princeton!
Hun Camp is a traditional day camp that emphasises character development in a fun-loving environment. Campers enjoy camp activities like archery, fishing, swimming, sports, drama, and crafts. From our traditional camp activities and themed weeks to our culminating talent show, we provide a safe environment for campers to unleash their imagination, build lasting friendships, and capture memories that will last a lifetime.

Our veteran staff of Hun faculty are assisted by aspiring educators, many of whom were campers themselves.

Options for Students in Grades 5-8

Rising 5th through 8th graders can combine Hun Summer School with Hun Camp or Hun Sports Camps. For this option, register for any of the first-period Middle School courses, including SSAT Prep, Creative Writing, or Pre-Algebra, that end at 10:00 a.m.  Your child can then choose either a half day of day camp or enroll in a half day of one of our sports camps!

Theme Weeks:

Week 1: Play the Hun Way

During Week 1, we set aside time in our lives to just play, and as we do, we come to understand that fun, safety, and respect go hand in hand.

Week 2: Play to Celebrate and Compete

During Week 2, we focus on competition as a form of play.

Week 3: Play to Create and Collaborate

During Week 3, we create, letting our campers design and implement their own games, projects, and crafts.

Week 4: Play to Explore and Experience

During Week 4, we explore nature through activities that introduce us to various animals, plants, and marine life that surround us.

Week 5: Play to Perform

During Week 5, we play to perform, sharing what we enjoy with others through song, dance, and our diverse talents. This week ends with a Talent Show.

Junior counselor in training (JCIT) program

The JCIT Program offers 13 year olds an opportunity to learn the skills needed to become a junior counselor with the day camp, and at the same time enjoy the camp games and sports they have grown to love. This group has the opportunity to mentor younger campers and facilitate group activities with counselor guidance. Each week, the group earns a special off-site trip such as bowling, a movie, or mini-golf. Campers who are 13 are automatically enrolled in the JCIT program. The JCITs are supervised by an adult Hun Camp counselor. Regular weekly camp fees apply. When registering for camp, full days or half days can be selected.

Campers are notified on a rolling admission basis. In order to accept a camper, the Summer Programs Office needs the completed registration form and a non-refundable deposit of $100.

what to bring

Campers may sign up for one week, if needed, although a two-week camp experience or more is preferable for the camper. Fees include lunch and a snack, but do not include extended care. Half day mornings do not include swimming.
