Leadership Opportunities

Proctors serve as our student leaders in the Resident Life Community; they are responsible for building community and culture within the dorms. Proctors run hall meetings, plan, participate in, and encourage peers to attend dorm and community events, and act as role models within the resident community.

Students who serve as peer leaders work closely with the ninth grade advisory program, ensuring new Hun students a smooth transition into life in the Upper School.  Peer leaders attend the ninth grade retreat each year as well as participate in leadership training throughout the year.

Students on the Honor and Discipline Committee serve as leaders and role models within the community, helping to uphold the values and standards that define Hun. Committee members foster a culture of integrity and accountability by promoting the Honor and Discipline Codes and helping educate fellow students on the importance of ethical decision-making and respectful community conduct. Students selected for the committee are trusted, upstanding members of the community who lead by example both inside and outside the classroom.

The Student Athlete Leadership Team (SALT) brings together student-athletes who are passionate about using sports as a platform for leadership, service, and positive impact. Serving as a bridge between athletics and the broader Hun community, SALT members foster school spirit, strengthen connections across campus, and lead initiatives that inspire engagement and meaningful change. Through community-wide programming and peer leadership, students empower fellow athletes to lead with purpose both on and off the field.

The Student Government President and Vice President serve as leaders and advocates for the student body, helping to shape the student experience and strengthen the school community. Working closely with students, faculty, and administrators, they represent student perspectives, encourage engagement, and help foster a culture of collaboration and school spirit. Through leadership and service, they work to ensure every student feels heard and empowered to make a meaningful impact.

Raider House Heads serve as leaders within one of Hun’s four Raider Houses — Edger, Shield, Gale, and Quill — helping to build connection, strengthen school spirit, and foster a sense of belonging within their House community. Working across grade levels, House Heads encourage participation, lead traditions and activities, and set the tone for all things school spirit. House Heads help ensure every student feels connected and invested in the Hun experience.

Admission Ambassadors are the welcoming face of our School, representing our community with authenticity, warmth, and integrity. As thoughtful citizens and joyful advocates, they help prospective students and families experience not just what we do, but who we are. Through campus tours, admissions events, and meaningful interactions with visitors, they share their personal experiences and help others gain a genuine understanding of life at Hun.
