Digital Platforms and Virtual Learning Resources
The following systems have been employed to support both virtual, in-person, synchronous, and asynchronous learning at Hun.
Google Classroom integrates with RaiderNet and facilitates student assignments, discussions, and file submission.
Magnus Health is the software platform through which The Hun School manages all required school and state student health forms. In addition to the standard health forms, Magnus Health will house information and attestation related to COVID-19: Good Faith Commitment to Community Health, travel forms, activity clearance, and any necessary quarantine or isolation information. We will notify you if and when additional requirements are added.
OWL Cameras are 360 degree cameras installed in every classroom and learning space at Hun. Owl Cameras are "plug and play" smart cameras that connect seamlessly with Zoom to provide an immersive classroom experience for both in-person and virtual participants. They follow sound and offer enhanced 360 degree microphone and camera capabilities. Students learning at home do not need to purchase an Owl camera, but they will benefit from the Owl Camera used in their classroom on campus.
RaiderNet is The Hun School’s password-protected intranet. It houses information portals for students, faculty, and staff, as well as the School’s Learning Management System, class and activity group pages, assignments and grades.
Veracross is the School’s Student Information System. It houses enrollment, billing, and household data. Single sign-on access is available through RaiderNet. The platform is agnostic to Hun School users, most of whom move back and forth through RaiderNet and Veracross unaware.
Vidigami is new to The Hun School portfolio for the 2020 – 2021 academic year. Integrated with RaiderNet, Vidigami offers a password protected way for users to access and share digital media: photos, videos, and artwork. Look for introductory information and access this fall.
Zoom is a video conferencing platform that is used to facilitate live (synchronous) virtual classes and meetings. For security, Zoom links will only be posted in RaiderNet. Live, public events will require advance registration. Zoom is free to K-12 students.
