The Hun School of Princeton Welcomes Four New Trustees
The Hun School of Princeton welcomed four new members to its Board of Trustees at its quarterly meeting on October 16th. They are Andrew Monfried ’87, John T.Y. Fung ’77, Hun alumni parent Marianne Deane P’07, P’09, and Parents’ Association Chair Regina Massad P’18 P’19.
Mr. Monfried ’87 is the founder and CEO of Lotame, the leading data management platform (DMP) company, located in New York City. Mr. Monfried was named a Hun Distinguished Alumnus last spring, and has a long relationship with the School. He was an early employee of Advertising.com, a pioneer of internet advertising, which was purchased by AOL in 2004 for $435 million. In that year, he founded Lotame, which is used by more than 200 companies, such as IBM, Hearst, Buzzfeed, and others, to collect, organize, and analyze data. Mr. Monfried sits on several boards, and is a big believer in relationship building and mentoring.
Johnny T.F. Fung ’77 of Ontario, Canada, is group managing director at Leo Paper Group, an international printing and communications company. Mr. Fung, who studied engineering and operations at Cornell University, is on the Cornell University Council. For Hun, he is an Annual Giving Class agent and has contributed to the Allen Kirschner Scholarship Fund as well as the construction of the Wilf Global Commons. He received Hun’s Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2011. His other philanthropic interests include supporting schools and services for underprivileged children in China, the Catholic Church in Toronto, and educational scholarship funds at Cornell and Brown University. His brother, Raymond Fung ’85, also attended Hun.
Marianne Deane,a parent of two Hun graduates, Joseph ’07, and Matthew ’09, joins the Board of Trustees after serving on the Parents’ Executive Board from 2002 to 2009 and as treasurer of the Parent Board from 2004 to 2007. Mrs. Deane received the Hun Meritorious Service Award in 2009, and her volunteer activities over the years have included the Hun Fall Gala, the Faculty and Staff Appreciation Luncheon, the Hun Fund, and co-chairing the Golf and Tennis Outings. She is currently on the Board of Directors for MIAX Options Exchange and is a member of the Finance and Technology Committees. Her past professional experience includes: serving as vice president managing municipal bond funds at Merrill Lynch; managing the Municipal Bond Common Fund at Provident Bank; and as a bond trader at Cigma Investment Advisors. Her husband, Joseph Deane, served as the Hun Board of Trustees Chair from 2006 to 2009.
Parent Board Chair Regina Massad P’18 P’19 will serve as the Parent Board representative to the Board of Trustees. Mrs. Massad currently has two children attending Hun (Anna ’19 and Mark ’18) and has served on the Parent Board since 2015.
