Tony Wiseman '69 arrived at The Hun School as a sophomore boarding student. Raised in South Africa and Belgium, his American parents felt Tony and his brother, Bill Wiseman ’68, should attend school in the United States.
Mr. Wiseman recalls, “I arrived at Hun having taught myself to read from American comic books and the International Herald Tribune, but with little ability to write in English, despite English being my first language. After three years I left Hun able to express my thoughts and truly communicate at a successful level in English. Not only that, Hun became my home, a place I fit in, after initially feeling on the outside, and where I was nurtured academically and personally. In college at Washington College, and professionally during my career at Merrill Lynch and several other leading financial institutions, I always felt that my success was in part due to my ability to communicate well. And for that preparation and many other things, I am forever grateful to Hun.”
The Hun School of Princeton is an independent, coeducational, private day and boarding college preparatory school. Student-centered, hands-on learning prepares students for the global community in which they will live and work.
