Reunion is a special time to reflect on your years as a student and to celebrate your Hun School experience. Alumni Weekend 2017 provides a great opportunity to rediscover The Hun School and to renew your friendships and connection to this unique place.

Join Director of Facilities Mike Chaykowsky ’80 for a tour of the nearly finished renovation and expansion of the Middle School in the Alexander K. Buck ’49 Building, which includes state of the art classrooms, two science labs, a robotics lab, dance and performance space, and media arts lab.

All alumni, rowers and those wishing to honor former Headmaster Paul R. Chesebro are invited to attend the christening of this brand new Vespoli eight.  The shell is a gift from a loyal alumnus and former coxswain who wanted to both support our crew team and honor the man who gave him the “life-changing” opportunity to attend Hun nearly sixty years ago.  Remarks by Headmaster Jonathan Brougham and Dr. Chesebro’s daughter Dorothy Sayre.

John Gale Hun Society Committee Chair, former Headmaster Jim Byer '62, and the John Gale Hun Society Committee invite all alumni and friends of the School to a cocktail reception to recognize members of the School’s John Gale Hun Society. The John Gale Hun Society recognizes those loyal alumni, faculty, staff, and friends who have made provisions for The Hun School in their estate plans.

Saturday Evening - Alumni Celebrations

6:30 – 11:00 p.m.; pre-registration is preferred

Milestone Reunions for class years ending in 2s, and 7s will be celebrated – but the party is for all alumni, regardless of graduation year. The Reunion celebration includes cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, specialty stations, desserts, and dancing. 

$80 per person, $40 for members of the Class of 2012, subsidized compliments of the Alumni Association. Guests of alumni will be charged the full $80.
Early registration discounts are available if you register online by March 31st.
Class Pictures will be taken throughout the evening in the tent behind Russell Hall.
Note: Due to limited parking at The Hun School, please consider, if available, using the shuttle bus service provided by your hotel, Uber, or carpool to Saturday evening’s Alumni Celebrations.

Giving Challenge

During the All-Alumni Reunion Lunch, The Hun School will present awards to alumni classes who are recognized for their spirit and participation during Alumni Weekend and for their support to the Hun Annual Fund. Every year, it’s a race to see which classes will be recognized for their achievements. Join your classmates and make a gift.
The Paul R. Chesebro H’14 Cup is presented to the Reunion class who contributes the largest Annual Fund gift on the occasion of their Reunion.
The G. Gerald Donaldson H’14 Cup is presented to the Reunion class (of 20 or more classmates) with the highest participation in the Annual Fund.
The James M. Byer ’62 Award is presented to the Reunion class with the highest percentage of classmates in attendance during their Reunion.
