Jamie L. McKee
The Hun School lost their second straight game of the week falling 2-5 at home to Malvern Prep.
Malvern Prep scored early leading by two goals before Brian Nelson ’19 scored in his fifth consecutive game for The Hun School. The goal came on the power play as Alexis Landry ’20 fed the puck to Nelson for the one-timer home.
After already giving up one goal down a man, penalties would continue to plague the Raiders for the remainder of the night. The Friars added to their lead with two more power play goals in the later minutes of the second and third periods.
Aidan McDowell ’19 added a late game spark as the Raiders trailed 1-4, with an end-to-end rush finished with a low snapshot on Malvern’s goalie. The Hun School opted for the extra skater pulling goalie Jack Borek ’22 only to see the Friars nail an empty net goal with :35 remaining.
