The opening round of the 46th Annual Peddie School Invitational Tournament handed The Hun School their fourth loss of the season in a close affair against The Kiski School.
The Raiders led early by a score of 15-2 as Andrew Seager ’19, Dylan Deveney ’19, and Xander Alvarado led the charge in the first quarter. The second frame Kiski responded with spunk on two occasions with a 6-0 run and then a 9-0 run to cut the Raider lead to one point at the half.
The third quarter was a back and forth affair where The Hun School held a 51-48 lead until Kiski responded with seven unanswered points to end the quarter with a 55-51 advantage.
With 2:25 remaining in the fourth quarter Kiski tied the game at 62-62. A variety of missed attempts by both squads led into Kiski’s lead for the remainder of the game with 1:42 on the clock.
The opening round loss slotted The Hun School to face The Solebury School as their Saturday matchup.
