Hun Power Play shines in Borek's '22 first time in net

The Hun School improved to 2-0 on the season with a 5-1 win over St. Joseph’s High School.
 
Both teams remained scoreless until the later portion of the second period until Eddie Evaldi ’20 opened up the scoring. St. Joe’s evened the game with 1:42 remaining in the frame.
 
The game drastically changed when St. Joe's was assessed a 5 minute boarding penalty for a hit from behind. The Raider power play went to work for the second game in a row scoring three times before time expired.  The onslaught was started by Aidan McDowell ’19 followed by Brian Nelson two minutes later and Hayden Watson ’20 burried the third on a rebound in front.
 
Max Schmuckler ’21 scored his first varsity level goal with eight seconds remaining on a highlight reel goal that was setup up by Evaldi and Matt Argentina ’21. 
 
Jack Borek ’22 had his first career start in goal for The Hun School against his older brother Mark, a St. Joe's team member, and came away with 30 saves and the win.
 
The Raiders will travel to take on Bergen Catholic on Monday, December 3rd for a 3:00 p.m.
