Raiders Clinch MAPL Title with Senior Day Win

Jamie L. McKee
The Hun School Varsity Boys’ Lacrosse team celebrated their six departing seniors in fine fashion yesterday with an 18-5 victory over The Hill School. The victory sealed at the very least a share of the 2018 MAPL Championship crown.

The Hun School took an early 7-1 lead in the first quarter that they never looked back from. The first quarter featured two goals from both Jackson Barletta ’19 and Trevor Deubner ’20 to set the tone of the remainder of the game. Barletta finished the evening with five goals to lead the stat sheet and Deubner followed suit with four of his own.

The Hun School will see six seniors/post graduates depart at the end of the season. Those team members are:
  • Jake Keller ’18
  • Thomas Bahr ‘18
  • Anthony “Sam” Uva ‘18
  • Christian Lawn ’18
  • Brett Renna ‘18
  • Davon Tavani ’18

The Hun School Stat Leaders:
  • Jackson Barletta ’19: 5 goals
  • Trevor Deubner ’20: 4 goals
  • Grant Hansen ’20: 3 goals
  • Gabriel Craven ’19: 10 saves
