Health and Safety During Covid
Safety first, Raiders!
Detailed information can be found on the following pages, but the salient points are as follows:
- The Hun School has returned all students to in-person learning every day.
-
Students who cannot attend, who request virtual accommodations for high-risk medical conditions or other reasons, or become ill, are supported through virtual learning.
-
Masks and physical distancing are required on campus, except while eating, during intense aerobic activity, or when boarders are within their community in the evenings.
-
The Hun School is offering athletic activities in conjunction with state and local guidelines.
-
Meals are offered but modified to incorporate an online ordering system. Lunches are delivered to students or available for pick-up for non-teaching staff. Breakfast and dinner in the dining hall are available to the resident community. Grab and Go breakfast, lunch, and snacks are available for all students in the PA Café.
-
Some programs and events are still modified to comply with limits on crowd sizes and social distancing measures.
-
Temporary modifications to the student dress code are in place.
STUDENT VACCINE ELIGIBILITY
All students ages 12 and up, who live or are educated in New Jersey, are eligible for a Covid-19 Vaccine. The School encourages anyone who is eligible to receive the vaccine. In addition to the health benefits to the individual and our community, fully vaccinated individuals are exempt from testing and quarantine.
If your student has ever experienced a severe side effect from a previous vaccination, please contact your health care provider to determine the best setting in which to receive your vaccine. Please note that 12 to 18-year-olds are only eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine. Use this link to register with the NJ Vaccine Scheduling System.
