Little Women, the Musical Matinee

Saks '31 Auditorium
150 years ago, Louisa May Alcott introduced the world to the March Sisters through her book, Little Women. This February, the Janus Players of the Hun School of Princeton will celebrate that anniversary by presenting, Little Women, the musical, on the stage of the John Andrew Saks ’31 Auditorium on February 22 at 7:00pm and on February 23 at 2:00pm and 7:00pm.
Little Women, the musical, ran on Broadway during the 2004 – 2005 season starring Sutton Foster and Maureen McGovern and went on to receive Tony, Outer Critics Circle and Drama Desk award nominations.
Based on Louisa May Alcott's life, Little Women, the musical, follows the adventures of sisters, Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March. Jo is trying to sell her stories for publication, but the publishers are not interested – her friend, Professor Bhaer, tells her that she has to do better and write more from herself. Begrudgingly taking this advice, Jo weaves the story of herself and her sisters and their experience growing up in Civil War America.
