COVID-19
The Hun School will continue distance learning for the remainder of the 2019 – 2020 academic year. Since the beginning of this crisis we have approached every decision with two priorities in mind: the health and safety of our community and the quality and continuity of teaching and learning. In support of these priorities, we believe the risks of reconvening this spring outweigh the potential gains.
As we all know, New Jersey and New York City are now considered global hotspots for the COVID-19 Pandemic. In the unlikely event that large gatherings of people are permissible in late May, the potential for community spread will likely be high, leading to increased risk for our families, faculty, and staff. In addition, mitigating and managing infections on campus would likely be more disruptive to teaching and learning than our current distance learning
