Athletics Facilities

Welcome to the Hun School of Princeton!

Many of the facilities on our idyllic 45-acre campus are available to rent for events, including camps, athletic competitions, and meetings. We are located just minutes from downtown Princeton and Princeton University, and are 45 miles from Philadelphia and 55 miles from New York City. The campus is easily accessible by public transportation, several major highways, and offers off-street parking for guests.

Athletic Facilities

Athletic Center

The Athletic Center is home to the Grant M. Shipley '42 Pavilion and the Breen Family Gym. The gym spaces are available for basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer, and baseball.

Tennis Courts

The Hun School is home to six tennis courts, split across two enclosed spaces. Our tennis courts are not located near the Athletic Center, but are on the upper part of our campus near the Wilf Family Global Commons. A parking lot is located nearby.

Turf Field

The all-weather turf field is lined for football, soccer, girls lacrosse, and boys lacrosse and can be lined for field hockey or girls flag football. Included in the rental is the goal nets for the sport being played. This field can accommodate clinics, practices, and can be a site for tournaments.

Additional Facilities

Breen Performing Arts Center

The Breen Performing Arts Center features an air-conditioned, 324-seat theatre equipped with professional dressing rooms, a technical booth, a spacious lobby, and full audiovisual equipment available for use.

Multipurpose Room

The Multipurpose Room, located in The Hun Middle School, can hold 90 people in chairs, which are included. This space, which features a professional-grade floor suitable for dance, can also be used for various athletic endeavors. One of the walls is lined in mirrors, and another features a retractable window that can create indoor/outdoor space.

Russell Lounge and Patio

The historically preserved Russell Lounge served as the very first library for The Hun School of Princeton. This unique location features a working gas fireplace, an intricately carved cathedral ceiling, and carefully preserved wood features and carvings, making it an ideal setting for baby showers, small concerts, rehearsal dinners, or group meetings. The lounge and patio can hold 49 people seated at round tables, 75 people in rows of chairs, or 100 people standing, with tables and chairs available to rent.

Wilf Family Global Commons

The Wilf Family Global Commons is a 30,000-square-foot facility that includes a dynamic campus center, dormitory space for fifty-six resident students, four faculty apartments, and four classrooms. These classrooms, as well as the five common rooms, technology kiosks, social areas, and multipurpose activities spaces, can serve a variety of purposes. The facility includes a large meeting space that can accommodate 100 people in rows of chairs, as well as an available classroom with a Polycom system that holds 20 people and features tables that can be rearranged according to need.
