Ronalee “Ronnie” Newman has been a valued member of the Science Department since 2019, primarily teaching physics courses such as AP Physics 1 and 2. While maintaining a no-nonsense approach in the classroom, she is also extraordinarily flexible and adaptable, differentiating her lessons to meet the individual needs of her students to make sure they understand the material. Ms. Newman is an exceptional mentor who freely offers her help and multitasks with ease. In addition to teaching, she has coached cheerleading, served as a prom coordinator, and most recently, advised the award-winning yearbook staff. Many of her coworkers and students have also benefited from her talent as a seamstress, as she often volunteers to hem prom dresses, mend clothing, and make scarves and bowties for the campus pets.
While she will miss the people of Hun, Ms. Newman is looking forward to spending more time with her family and friends, working on her existing hobbies and trying new ones, spending more time on the boardwalk, and traveling around the country and possibly Europe.
