Elizabeth Plautz has been a part-time member of the History and Global Studies faculty since 2018. While she has attempted retirement in the past, her love of teaching has pulled her back to Hun several times; in her typical dry humor, she remarked that the “third time’s the charm.” Her years of teaching experience, as well as her deep knowledge of a multitude of topics, has allowed her to become adept in encouraging and mentoring early educators. Ms. Plautz is considered the gold standard as an AP economics teacher, attending College Board workshops during the summer and raising the practice of fellow teachers while sharing available resources. One of the earliest adopters of X Block, she has taught both AP Macroeconomics and AP Microeconomics during the evening. Ms. Plautz is a generous and thoughtful educator, voracious reader, and avid traveler.
She will miss the Hun community but is looking forward to spending more time with family and friends in retirement.
