“A Heart Filled With Kindness” - Ally H. ’27 Prepares for the Upper School

Even though she only joined The Hun Middle School community this year, Ally H. ’27 said she never felt like the “new kid.”

“I was nervous on my first day, but over time I made friends. It just happened naturally, like during breaks and at lunch,” Ally said. “It didn’t really feel like it was my first year.”

In fact, even her advisor Ms. Beatrice said that, from the very beginning, Ally was always quick to jump in and help her classmates.

“Ally is a remarkable student with a heart filled with kindness, compassion, and empathy. Always willing to lend a helping hand, she goes out of her way to support her peers and make a positive impact on those around her,” Ms. Beatrice said.

Her favorite memories of The Hun Middle School are from the events outside of the typical school day, especially the recent semi-formal dance. She likes that everyone in the Middle School knows each other and is comfortable together.

But Ally was also quick to step outside of her comfort zone this year: Last fall, she played soccer for the first time. She also participated in yoga and lacrosse. Next year, she plans to play soccer and lacrosse in the Upper School.

As sad as she is to leave The Hun Middle School behind, there’s one thing she’s sure of:

“I feel like my teachers this year have prepared me for the Upper School, especially Ms. Nuse!” Ally said.

Ms. Beatrice is confident that Ally will succeed in her next adventure. “Ally consistently puts in the effort required to excel academically and achieve her goals both inside and outside of the classroom. In addition to her academic pursuits, she is a true friend and admired by her classmates. It has been a pleasure getting to know Ally this year, and I look forward to watching her grow and succeed in the Upper School!”
