Our Homecoming and Parents’ Weekend celebration was two days filled with excitement -- from a roaring student section to our varsity teams celebrating wins across the board to a halftime performance that brought the house down, the Hun community came together in large numbers to support one another and celebrate the first Homecoming weekend in over a year.
The festivities began with Varsity Girls’ Soccer celebrating a 1-0 victory under the lights vs. Germantown Academy, followed by a pep rally and bonfire where each varsity team was introduced to the crowd. The night was complete with an Ultimate Brownie Bar food truck, hot cocoa, and fresh donuts.
Hun students kicked off Saturday’s celebration by decorating their Raider House floats in preparation for the halftime float parade. Two parent socials were hosted: one by the Masala Club and another by the Black Student Union. Intertwined throughout the day, an ultimate tailgate took place, complete with specialty food trucks, a cornhole tournament, student-lead face painting and sign-making, and a raffle all leading up to the Varsity Football game under the lights.
The halftime show brought major excitement to the crowd with the themed Raider House float parade, and a performance by the School’s step team, Majesty.
Congratulations to Varsity Girls’ Soccer, Varsity Field Hockey, and Varsity Football on their wins this weekend and to the rest of our teams for a successful Homecoming Weekend.
