Philosophy

The Hun School’s Athletic Program is an integral part of the total School curriculum. The major objective of the Program is to provide wholesome opportunities for students to develop positive habits and attitudes about social and group living through athletic experiences.

The School community is composed of many individuals with varying interests and needs. Believing in the educational value inherent in sports for each student, we strive to offer a broad program of sports activities within the framework of available equipment and facilities.

Competition and winning are important aspects of any program, but should control the scope of the program. The measurement of success will not be judged by the tangible evidence of victory or defeat, but in the intangible personality development factors that are an outgrowth of the major objectives of our Athletic Program.

The Athletic Department is continually evaluating its program to ensure that it is within the goals and philosophy of The Hun School of Princeton.
