Music

The Hun School music program offers students the opportunity to learn about and experience music in myriad ways. Our performing groups include the Upper School Orchestra, Upper School Jazz Big Band, Upper School Jazz combo, Upper School Chorus, A cappella groups (extra curricular), Chamber Music program (extra curricular), and Pit Band for the winter musical.

Students are encouraged to participate in our performing groups, and all are welcome regardless of experience. For students interested in learning about and trying out instruments, we have a course called "Instrument Exploration" in which students get a chance to try out all of the band/orchestra instruments and choose one that suits them. In "Intro to Music", students learn about the history of Western music and become musically literate through music theory work. For students interested in pursuing theory at a high level, we offer AP Music Theory.
The Hun School of Princeton is an independent, coeducational, private day and boarding college preparatory school.  Student-centered, hands-on learning prepares students for the global community in which they will live and work.
