A Culture of Giving
Within The Hun School community we have a great many individuals who are excited by knowledge, new experiences, and challenging opportunities. We derive much of our collective energy from their enthusiasm and ambition. Similarly, many of us are just as eager to be of service in our community. Students, faculty, parents and alumni pour hours of volunteer time into their communities and thankfully, into the School as well.
A thriving community service program offers students and faculty opportunities to volunteer together and share in the experience and education of service. Parents and alumni swarm the School offering assistance in the classroom, special projects, and in support of co-curricular programs. Our community places great value on the act of giving. Generosity is present in so many ways on Edgerstoune Road, including in the form of financial support.
We think it is important to keep education affordable and accessible. We also think it is important to partner with our parents, alumni and friends to provide the best education possible. This sense of community involvement and commitment is at the heart of the School’s mission.
There are many ways to support The Hun School philanthropically, but the Hun Fund is the School first fundraising priority. Each year, The Hun School appeals to alumni, current parents, parents of alumni, grandparents and friends to support the annual giving campaign that is known as the Hun Fund.
Tuition does not cover the full cost of educating a student at The Hun School. Like most independent schools, we rely on the generosity and spirit of our community to enhance the our ability to build and sustain a team of gifted faculty, provide innovative programs and attract a diverse student body. Gifts to the Hun Fund are unrestricted funds that are crucial to the School as it strives to provide an exemplary education for all students.
Proceeds from the Hun Fund go toward bridging the gap and are used in conjunction with endowment income to ensure a balanced operating budget from year to year. As unrestricted funds, they give us the flexibility to allocate resources where they are needed most during the current school year. By making a gift to the Hun Fund, you are helping to perpetuate Hun's unique educational experience.

or Monthly Billing
Rather than making an outright cash gift, you may prefer to spread out the payments for up to three years on a schedule convenient to you. A pledge may allow you to contribute more significantly than might otherwise be possible, while extending tax advantages over a period of several years. You may also request that we bill your credit card monthly.
Giving the School gifts of appreciated stock is convenient and is beneficial for tax purposes. For information on giving stock to The Hun School, please contact Jill Goldman, director of annual fund.
The Hun School receives thousands of dollars each year thanks vital donor-employee partnerships in the form of matching gift programs. Many companies will happily match (up to three times) philanthropic contributions made by their employees. Don’t miss the opportunity to maximize the impact of your gift on Hun School students and faculty. Please request a matching gift form from your employer and forward it to The Hun School. They will be glad you asked! ...and we will take care of the rest!
