Campaign for the Hun School of Princeton

Fine Arts

Learn a sonata, experiment with paints, take up photography, memorize a soliloquy, take a step to descovering something new in yourself. Creative expression is an essential component of a balanced and rigorous education.

Students at The Hun School have many opportunities to experience the arts and develop creativity. They learn from talented painters, sculptors, actors, directors, musicians, and composers who are committed to inspiring and motivating young people. Some students pursue a more intensive study, while others approach the arts as an enjoyable and challenging part of their educational enrichment.

The Hun School has produced many a Division I athlete who excels at piano; a talented biology student who is also a talented photographer; or a successful artist alumnus who returns to teach students to work with oil pants. The benefits of artistic study and self-expression in an academic curriculum are varied and innumerable.

New funds will finance a renovated structure and provide resources that will further strengthen the arts program on campus. Furthermore, they will support programs that help students develop their talents, refine their sensibilities, and deepen their appreciation of the arts, thus stimulating intellectual and emotional growth.
