Campaign for the Hun School of Princeton
Athletics
Play or watch a Hun School game. The whistle blows, a pass is received, the ball is hit, the first-place finish is achieved, a best is met, victory is won. Athletics in team sports create a glow, not simply from sheer physical exertion, but also from the excitement of meeting personal challenges and working as a team.
Students involved in interscholastic and intramural sports are given the opportunity to challenge themselves, and to build character and leadership. These qualities will serve them beyond the court and the playing field, long after their years at The Hun School.
Originally designed in 1969 for an all-boys environment, The Hun School athletic facilities were renovated to accommodate coeducational athletics in 1971. The campaign funds will update athletic facilities to match the diversity and talents of our young athletes.
In addition to the physical facility, the lower campus will receive extensive landscaping between the academic buildings and the renovated athletic and arts facilities. Reflecting our commitment to the environment, the renowned landscape architect firm of Robert Hanna Associates will enhance the School’s natural beauty with new landscaping and trees, giving students an outdoor classroom and a new place to gather between classes.
