Activities

Clubs

Clubs are a fun and motivating way to explore an interest or to try a new hobby. Each semester, students select a club from a wide array of offerings, and meet each week during the day to pursue their choice. Options have included groups such as Vegetarian Cuisine, Music and Lyrics, Film Making, and Webkinz.

Student Council

The Middle School Student Council plays an important role in our community, and everyone is encouraged to participate and to get involved. Student Council Representatives are elected in each homeroom, and candidates hold a vigorous campaign each year for the election of the President and Vice President. The Student Council is responsible for planning dances including the Semi-Formal, organizing fundraising activities, and arranging for the annual 8th Grade Trip.

Outdoor Education

Every third year, Middle School students and faculty participate in a three-day residential environmental and outdoor education experience designed to supplement our academic program. We travel to YMCA Camp Bernie, near Washington, NJ for a wide variety of instructional and confidence building activities which are led by trained professional staff. Ropes courses, hikes, the climbing wall, and survival training are just some of the elements that make this a truly memorable middle school event.
