Encouraging and challenging adolescents to appreciate the world outside themselves is an important thread throughout The Hun Middle School program.
The idea of service to others is actively promoted through a wide variety of activities in support of those in need in the greater Princeton community and beyond.
All Middle School students are expected to participate in service learning in some way. Often service learning projects are inspired by issues discussed in class, and are generated by students themselves, who organize and carry out the activities. In the past year, projects included our annual Swimsuit Drive to benefit the summer camp at Home Front, care packages for military personnel serving in the Middle East, and a “Walk for Water” to highlight the distances women in African countries must travel on a daily basis to search for water for their families.
